St. Gabriel’s Camp

When Teddy Roosevelt was President a Warrior of the Little Big Horn Battle donated 40 acres of land so that his people would have a “House of God” among them.  Red Hail is the name of that Warrior.  Now, years later, we have built a camp and conference center on that hallowed ground to provide summer camps, youth ministry, and training opportunities for the North Dakota Council on Indian Ministries (NDCIM) and for the Diocese.  Since 1996, the facility has grown and is now able to house more than 70 people.  We operate primarily during the summer months to host camps for teens as well as host mission groups as they come to Standing Rock to work with us.
