Saint Peter's Church is a blessed community of Faith grounded in the power of God's transforming love, where Jesus Christ welcomes all to abundant life. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we follow Him in prayer and praise, study and service.
St. Peter's parish is a vibrant Christian community in the Diocese of New Jersey. Our members are serious about our faith. We value being fed spiritually at the Eucharist and are gladdened by the opportunity to come forward for prayers of healing and birthday blessings. We are grateful for the friendliness and support we feel from one another when we come together. We have high ambitions for St. Peter's outreach to the wider community and world. We appreciate opportunities for spiritual growth and Christian formation for adults and children, on Sunday mornings and at other times during the week.

Christian Formation
We offer formation for both children and adults. Read on for more info!
Our multi-age (PreK-5th grade) Sunday School class meets weekly on Sunday mornings from 9-10AM, September through May. Our Middle School meets monthly, usually on the 3rd Sunday of the month, for Lunch & Learn (BYO lunch) with our priest, from 11:30-12:30 in our library. September through May.
We offer Children's Chapel at 10:15 AM on the 2nd Sunday of the month, for preschool through 2nd grade children to experience a child-friendly Liturgy of the Word in our chapel with our Christian Formation Director. It involves prayer, song, story, and coloring. The children are led to the main sanctuary to rejoin their families for the Liturgy of the Table (including Holy Communion).
The main sanctuary has a Pray-ground for children up to age 5 to play while still able to see what is going on at the altar, so they can worship with the wiggles. Parents are encouraged to sit in the first few pews nearby or at the edge of the Pray-ground. There are also "Pew Bags" that children who are a bit older can borrow while at worship, and they can take a coloring page with them (both are located near the entrance; ask an usher). Children are invited to stop by the Prayer Station to "light" a candle (battery-operated) and say a prayer; the prayer station is a little table against the wall near the Pray Ground.
Periodically, we offer spiritual reflection or prayer activities for the whole congregation, which are encouraged to participate in. Sometimes we hold a multi-generational workshop.
There is a regular adult study with our priest most Wednesday mornings, from 11am-Noon. We may offer other adult studies, too, such as during Lent.
International Relationships
Institut La Rédemption
Since 2014, St. Peter's has had a companion relationship with this private Episcopal K-12 school and its parent church, St. Basil le Grand. We pray for each other, representatives have visited one another, and St. Peter's contributes to the school for the payment of teacher salaries.
Child Fund International
For many years, St. Peter's has sponsored two children through Child Fund International, sending them money for birthdays and Christmas in addition to our monthly sponsorship.
