The beautiful Niobrara National Scenic River and stunning Sandhills--punctuated by cattle, wetlands, and waterfowl--help shape the character of our community. Inspired by their beauty, we delight in the beauty of worship shaped by attentiveness to words and music. If you're seeking rest for your soul, a good word, a good paddle down the river, and unspoiled scenery, St. John's and the Valentine area and for you. Scripture, reason, and tradition shape our approach to faith. You can bring your brain and questions with you to St. John's.

St. John's is located on the north end of Main Street (US 83), between the business and residential districts. Street parking is available on the west and north sides of the church.

The St. John's Food Pantry, open second and fourth Thursdays from 10 a.m. to Noon, lives out Jesus' call to feed those who are hungry and is accessed through the north side/fellowship hall entrance. First-time guests at the pantry register with a volunteer so that a relationship can develop. To assist the greatest number of people, guests can access the food pantry once per month. Winter coats are also available in season.

Morning Prayer on February 18, March 17, April 28, may 19. Our worship services use the Book of Common Prayer (1979 edition). We are relaxed and casual; no need for fancy clothes or previous church experience. We are gracious with each other as we go through the worship service, wanting all to participate as fully as they are able. Our style is best described as classic or timeless.
