Episcopal Church of St. John Baptist

Share a story

St. John's is a small parish right on US Route 1 in historic Thomaston, Maine.  It is a traditional, basic Episcopal parish whose members love to sing, and to be engaged in the community.  The historic building is based on a Richard Upjohn design. It is a classic Carpenter Gothic design that is stately, simple, and elegant.  The church is small, so everyone needs to sit closer and as a result we hear each other and sing louder.  We work closely with the other churches in town, and all other local faith communities.

We have both liberal and conservative members, and join together in our mission to serve God with all our heart, mind, body and soul.
