St. John's is a small parish right on US Route 1 in historic Thomaston, Maine. It is a traditional, basic Episcopal parish which loves to sing, and to be engaged in the community. The historic building is based on an Upjohn design. It is a simple carpenter gothic design that is stately, simple and elegant. The church is small, so everyone needs to sit closer and as a result we hear each other and sing louder. We work closely with the other churches in town, and all other local faith communities.
We have liberal and conservative members, and join together in our mission to serve God with all our heart, mind, body and soul.
