St. Augustine's Episcopal Preschool

Serving Grades: Preschool (Children ages 2 - 4)

St. Augustine’s School is designed to be a responsible, supervised opportunity for children, to associate with their peers. Organized play, creative activities and developmental help adjusted to the child’s age and planned to assure each child of his or her social importance, will be directed at the development of a positive self image in each child. The individuality of each child is held in high regard. Our responsibility as a Day School is to demonstrate concern with learning in moral, ethical and spiritual values.

The school’s programs have their emphasis on socialization, personal growth and readiness skills. The children spend time adjusting to new surroundings, teachers and classmates. Through songs, simple games, stories and circle times children learn about themselves, family life and the world around them as well as colors, shapes, the alphabet and numerals.

Opportunities for free play indoors and outdoors, painting, crafts and cooking and science experiences are all part of the curriculum.

Outreach programs from various interest areas are brought to the school to enrich the daily activities. We do not take off-campus field trips.
