OUR STORY

For almost 50 years, All Saints-by-the-Sea Episcopal Parish School has served generations of children by providing a quality Early Childhood Education.  Our school is a nonprofit and is licensed by the California State Department of Health, accredited by the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles and members of the National and California Associations for the Education of Young Children and the National Association of Episcopal Schools.

The ECE licensed teachers set the stage to help guide discoveries by approaching teaching in varied styles to appeal to all types of learners; kinesthetic, visual, auditory and tactile. The children are exposed to many materials including sand, water, blocks, manipulative toys, wheel toys, climbing equipment, books, art, crafts and musical instruments.  Weekly activities may include child-initiated play, story time, music, finger plays, chapel service, classroom cooking, special guests (doctor, dentist, firemen, policeman, singers, puppeteers, dancers and animals).  The monthly theme-based units are concrete, active and open to explorations and experiential learning.  These might be teacher-directed group activities involving verbal or physical response, self-directed table activities to support the ideas introduced in group circle-time, and well equipped activity centers and/or visits from special guests.
