Community Dinner
One way St. Joseph-St. John is involved in the community is a free dinner every Wednesday at 6 PM. The only thing you have to do to eat is come inside. Dinner each week usually has a salad, bread, meat, vegetables, and a starchy food (like corn or potatoes).
The food comes from the congregation and is usually made onsite. Different members and friends of St. Joseph-St. John cook the meals, and those eating help with set up. If you have a gift for setting tables, feel free to show up at 5:30 PM. Each week there are usually between 20-50 people eating, talking, and building community. More are always welcome.
There are usually no leftovers after dinner. If you make it but your friend or family can't, take home boxes are often available — if there's food left after everyone has eaten. There is more than enough food every week, readily shared with friends and strangers alike.
