About Us
Since 1990, Lord of the Streets Episcopal Church has been dedicated to ministry to Houston’s homeless population in downtown and Mid-town Houston. In 1993, Lord of the Streets was established as a special mission of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas.
Offering spiritual, physical, emotional and social ministry to Houston’s homeless and disadvantaged.

Ministries
Crisis Management
The Direct Assistance program provides basic supportive services: clothing and hygiene items, transportation in the form of bus passes for public transportation, financial assistance to obtain state identification and/or birth certificates, and food packs to those living in poverty. Additionally, Direct Assistance is a collaboration of essential resources such as; information and referral that address solutions intended to encourage independence and self-sufficiency.
Health Care
Lord of the Streets hosts a free clinic provided by Harris Health System which offers a wide range of primary health care services, including:
- Well women
- Baby exams,
- Family medicine
- Immunization services
- HIV/AIDS testing
- TB testing
- Prescription medicines
- Diagnostic services
- Podiatry
- Psychiatry
