St. Stephen's Episcopal Church

We are traditional, in that we kneel for prayers and sing hymns from the hymnal.  We are also non-traditional, in that we encourage the worshiper to participate in ways that are comfortable for them, whether that means bowing, standing, praying, making the sign of the cross, singing or just sitting.  We prefer to meet you just where you are and offer a loving environment where you can feel God's presence.  If you are new to a service like this and would like some help, feel free to ask a greeter or usher who will sit with you and help you through the service.  A typical Sunday looks like this at St. Stephen's.

Some Other Place

Community Center

Some Other Place was founded in 1968 by the local religious community to meet the unfulfilled emergency needs of the poor and "hurting" residents of the Beaumont community. When no one could help, they were told they had to go to some other place...thus, the name Some Other Place. It allows people to have somewhere to go when all else fails. All S.O.P. services are offered at no charge to the recipient.
