St. Alban's Welcome Teams for Refugees
Thanks to the generosity of St. Alban's parishioners, the transition of twenty families has been greatly eased as they resettled from extreme danger. We have welcomed families from Iraq, from Burundi, from the Nepal area, from Myanmar (formerly Burma) and many more countries.
Right now we are working with Austin Jews & Partners for Refugees.
Menchaca Early Readers Initiative
Each year we raise money to make sure every first grader has funds for their school book fair. We also make sure each student gets a tote bag for their books with their names embroidered on it.
Episcopal Youth Community (EYC)
Episcopal Youth Community is a group of 7th through 12th graders who are becoming Christ-followers through Bible study, fellowship, and service to others. Generally, EYC meets in the Youth Room (on the second floor of the Parish Life Center) on Sundays from 5:00-7:00 p.m. We eat dinner together, reflect on our week, have Bible study, and play games. We also have off-campus fun outings, lock-ins, and service projects.
Children's Ministry
At St. Alban’s, all ages are always welcome to participate in worship and learning, but we know that sometimes having our littlest ones with us can keep us from being fully present. Children from birth through age 3 can be lovingly cared for in the nursery by our trained nursery staff. Children ages 4 through 6th grade have two opportunities each Sunday for learning and fellowship: Children’s Chapel and Christian Education. Club 567 (for 5th-7th graders) is a great bridge between our children’s programs and EYC (Episcopal Youth Community)
