Everyone is Welcome at God’s Table – And You Are Welcome at Ours
The Episcopal Church of the Incarnation is an open and inclusive community within the Episcopal Diocese of Michigan. We’re rooted in the Anglican tradition, nourished by contemplative practice, and committed to service and advocacy.
Our work together as a church is all about connecting lives, transforming faith, and working for justice.
Come as you are. Whoever you are. Wherever you are on your journey. We don’t have a dress code. And we don’t have any expectations or requirements about what you need to believe in order to be welcome here.
Our church community is a diverse one — in age, race, and family structure. We welcome non-traditional families, including single parent, adoptive, multi-racial, and families headed by same-sex couples.
Our individual experience is also diverse. Some of us are comfortably middle-class, while others are struggling financially. Some are cheerfully optimistic, while others have been through the fires of despair and rejection. No matter who we were or where we’ve come from, we’ve found new lives at Incarnation.

Ministries
Creation Care Ministry
The Creation Care Ministry (CCM) connects members of ECI to the global movement for transformative environmental and social justice, with actions including sharing information, sponsoring and supporting public actions and engagement, and advocating for policy and program changes in every possible arena. This group meets monthly.
Meal Ministry
Meal Ministry is for anyone wants to help with all things food: providing meal support; conducting food drives; helping with our post-worship potlucks; pantry stewardship; supporting FedUp Ministries, and more.
The Nicaragua Project
While the Nicaragua Project was founded by ECI members, our current 4 board members are scattered around the U.S. Our focus now is developing a form of microloans to promote small-scale economic development in and around Catarina Nicaragua. We are actively seeking some more board members interested in helping us move this project forward with funds that we already have on hand. Visit The Nicaragua Project website to learn more, or contact Lorrie Douglas for details.
Spirituality Discussion Group
This group meets on zoom on alternate Mondays from 1:30-3pm. Members suggest topics for each session and they reflect a wide range of questions. Recently they have explored how we understand our whole selves - our bodies, our spirits, our hearts and our minds - as completely and wholly integrated and loved.
International Relationships
The Nicaragua Project
Incarnation is deeply involved in efforts to build a cultural exchange center and eco-hotel in Catarina, Nicaragua, as part of our overall efforts to promote sustainable, inclusive, economic development in that community. Visit The Nicaragua Project website to learn more, or contact Lorrie Douglas for details.
