Volunteer opportunities
COMMUNITY BREAKFAST: We host a Community Breakfast every Thursday. Breakfast is served in the Parish Hall from 7:00 to 8:30 am. Anyone from the community is invited to this free breakfast.
COMMUNITY LUNCH: We host a Community Lunch the first Sunday of every month. Lunch is served in the Parish Hall at 11:00, immediately following the morning worship service. Anyone from the community is invited to this free lunch.
ESL CLASSES: English as a Second Language classes are taught in the Parish Hall every Thursday at 9:30 am.
SALVATION ARMY FOOD PANTRY: our church supports these local community services.
LUTHERANS, ANGLICANS, and ROMAN CATHOLICS (LARC): LARC started in 1992 with a covenant between the bishops of the Roman Catholic diocese, the Episcopal diocese, and two Lutheran synods. Trinity has been very active in the organization with the original leadership coming from our church. The participating churches in Chambersburg are First Lutheran, Second Lutheran, Trinity Lutheran, Trinity Episcopal, and Corpus Christi Catholic. LARC organizes weekly services during Lent, an annual Lasagna dinner, and an annual Blessing of the Animals service.
UNITED CHURCHES OF CHAMBERSBURG: The UCCA has a rich history of ministry to the community. Current initiatives and ministries are the Emergency Needs Clearing House and the Jail Chaplaincy and Ministries. This group meets quarterly.
