Volunteer opportunities

Ongoing commitment opportunities

Volunteer trainings to ensure safeguarding of vulnerable persons (elders, children, those with disabilities or neurodivergence) and to welcome all people, are held biannually. All in the parish over age 18 are encouraged to attend and to find a ministry through which to serve. Volunteers serve as ushers; front office assistants; healing ministers; spiritual formation teachers and assistants with children; members of our Altar Guild;  in groundskeeping and building maintenance; in advocacy thr0ugh our Creation Care Team, Anti-Racism Team, and/or our outreach ministries: our diaper bank, children's clothes closet, and Partners in Housing Transition.

Racial Reconciliation

Promoting through social media and our newsletter opportunities within the diocese, province, and local community to combat racism and embrace cultural and racial diversity. Monthly educational offerings for adults, and occasional intergenerational opportunities to expand our understanding and practices of racial justice building. 

Creation Care Team

Creation Care/Community Gardens

Educating and offering opportunities for Creation care to those of all ages including recycling, promoting environmentally responsible ways of maintaining our buildings and grounds, composting, etc. 

55 & Better Ministry

Aging, Health and Wellbeing

Facilitating fellowship, worship, spiritual and cultural enrichment focusing on the needs, interests and abilities of adults aged 55 and up. Activities include meal events, day retreats and outings, and discussion groups.

Children's Spiritual Formation Program

Children and Youth Ministries

Providing spiritual formation activities for children with classes geared to particular age groups on Sunday mornings from September through May. Nursery care is available during the 10am liturgy, with a children's sermon time provided for elementary-age children. Intergenerational, family-oriented worship services are offered at Christmas, for Ash Wednesday, on Good Friday. Messy Church is offered late Sunday afternoons at least six times a year with an a participatory liturgy, creative activities exploring the scripture, and a shared meal.

Music Ministry

Music

Promoting live music for worship and community outreach through an adult choir, a children's choir, and a bell choir. Instrumentalists and soloists are encouraged to share their gifts in worship. Visiting choirs are often hosted for special events, and ecumenical collaboration in the local community provides rich opportunities for engagement.
