The Episcopal Church of the Cross

Share a story

Welcome!  We are a community of faith who invites and welcomes everyone to the worship of and service to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.  We desire to serve our Lord Jesus Christ as disciples in our community in full partnership and participation with one another as we find our place and our own humanity along the way.  Through our service and worship, we know that we are needed and that we belong to God.  We believe in sharing God's love among all people, fostering and healing our community and growing the body of Christ at the Episcopal Church of the Cross.

Super Saturday

Children and Youth Ministries

We offer a Youth Formation group, the 3rd Saturday of the month, called Super Saturday, once a month, where youth have an opportunity to learn about God's love for them and enjoy a fellowship lunch.  This program is run by Safe Church trained volunteers who care and support the youth in our Lower Richland Community.  All school aged children are encouraged to attend.

Burnside Book Buzz Program

Advocacy

Our Burnside Book Buzz Program hosts volunteers that read books to first and second graders at Annie Burnside Elementary School once a month.  We advocate literacy in our community, not only with this program, but with our Little Lloyd's Library which sits between the church and the school, which provides free books for children.

CotC Youth Group

Children and Youth Ministries

Our CotC Youth Group leads road clean-up efforts, recycling, while assisting the Junior Warden in maintaining the church property, with conservation and gardening.  The youth group also spends time learning about the church, life skills, and tutoring community children.
