Brazos Interfaith Immigration Network
BIIN is a network of faith communities, organizations, and individuals working to serve and support the immigrant. St. Thomas is an organizational partner and hosts Spanish-language citizenship classes. The Rev. Dr. Mary Lenn Dixon is the chair and the Rev. Jim Said treasurer of BIIN. Many parishioners volunteer their time, including Chet Robinson who was named 2015 Volunteer of the Year.
Food Pantry
St. Thomas partners with First Baptist Church of College Station to support their Food Pantry. On the second Tuesday of each month, St. Thomas parishioners gather in the morning to distribute food to clients. The evening before, parishioners sack groceries for the next morning.
Habitat for Humanity
St. Thomas is a partner church for Bryan-College Station chapter of Habitat for Humanity. St. Thomas parishioners participate in building, painting, preparing lunches for builders, and more.
South Knoll Elementary School Volunteers
South Knoll Elementary School is our nearest public school neighbor. Volunteers from St. Thomas spend time with the children and help them with reading and math.
Mission Trips
St. Thomas parishioners, especially youth and older children, participate in frequent mission activities that may be a day during Spring Break or week-long mission trips. These include volunteering at the Brazos Valley Food Bank, participating in the Houston Cathedral Urban Service Experience (CUSE) sponsored by the Episcopal Diocese of Texas, and more.
