Holy Trinity Episcopal Church

Share a story

Whether you have already walked through our bright red doors or are simply "church shopping" on the web, we welcome you to this joyful, vibrant community of faith.  We gather as God’s beloved people; some in jeans, others more dressed up.  Some members come from other Christian denominations; some are lifelong Episcopalians.  Others are not sure exactly where or even if they fit into a particular religious category.  Our life together is greatly enriched by this diversity.

Most of us are searching for something larger than ourselves and for connections that are real and meaningful. We invite you to join us in your exploration.  This church family offers many ways to experience a warm caring community and a place of belonging. You will be warmly welcomed and shown full respect whoever you are and wherever you are in your faith journey.  You are invited to go at your own pace, to take things slowly and tentatively, or to jump right into our common life.

Located at 4613 Highway 3 on a picturesque and historic corner in Dickinson, Texas, Holy Trinity is a faithful community who WELCOME ALL to this sacred place.

Ministries

PRAYER CHAIN

Faith Formation

The prayer team is a group of people who pray for others upon request. This team is set in motion through email and phone calls. You can participate at home or at work, in your car or grocery store. Anywhere you feel comfortable offering up a prayer for those in need is appropriate.

MI LEWIS SOCIAL SERVICE CENTER

Donation Coordination/Distribution

Holy Trinity helps to financially support the M.I. Lewis Service Center with a monthly donation check and scheduled food drives. This is our way of helping meet the needs of the economically disadvantaged members of the Dickinson community.

EMPTY STOCKING

Donation Coordination/Distribution

Empty Stocking is a Ministry to give children and needy families a gift-filled Christmas. Prospective children and families are screened beforehand and qualified as to their needs. The effort begins with the Thanksgiving Service, held the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and continues through mid-December. Empty Stocking wish cards are available the Sunday after Thanksgiving. The wrapped gifts are due back to the church in early December for distribution in mid-December.

CHURCH WOMEN UNITED

Donation Coordination/Distribution

Church Women United operates the Open Door Thrift Shop located on FM 517 between I-45 and Hwy 3 here in Dickinson.

The churches involved in volunteering are called to provide volunteers at the thrift shop three to four months out of the year. Volunteers assist the Cashier in bagging items and other assorted light duties.

Open Door Thrift Shop is open Tuesday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Volunteers are called the week prior to the month for which our church is responsible so that they may choose a convenient time to volunteer.

Interesting Facts about Open Door Thrift Shop:

  1. Local citizens bring in donations of clothing, household items, etc, for the Thrift Shop to sell. It is recycling with a heart.
  2. Once a year, sizeable monetary donations from these sales are made to local community agencies, such as M.I. Lewis.
  3. These donations are made from the net operating funds after all expenses are met.
  4. This endeavor brings together Christian women who celebrate and expand their faith as they join together in community to encourage a deepening of spirituality through helping others.

Please consider joining the many Holy Trinity members who have worked on this outreach consistently over the years.
