St. Ambrose Episcopal Church

Share a story

St. Ambrose is located near downtown Raleigh, in the Biltmore Hills and Rochester Heights neighborhoods. We are a loving and spirit filled parish with young and old alike. We are a historically African American parish with diverse congregants and friends. We radically welcome you as we seek give Worship to God, receive Wisdom from God, and Work alongside God in fulfillment of our vision.

We have a dynamic Jazz Mass as well as a Choral Mass with traditional chanted Eucharist. Our numerous ministries such as Congregational Care & Welcome, Pastoral Care, Worship, Music, Service, Children & Families, Mission/Outreach and Youth allow everyone to find their place where they can give their time, talents and treasure in praise of the wonderful blessings God has bestowed upon us.
