– We are St. Mary’s –

We are not a place  …

We are a community that seeks to walk with God.

What that means….

  • We believe that God is love & God is where there is love.

  • We will not dictate what you must believe, but we welcome you to walk with us as we strive to walk with the Lord.

  • We will answer questions and share our thoughts if you want to explore your beliefs.

  • Both seekers and believers are welcome here.

Who are we …. and from where did we come?

… well, we are a bit of a motley crew ~

  • Some are “cradle Episcopalians,”

  • some came from the Roman Catholic tradition,

  • some from the different (non-Episcopal) Protestant traditions,

  • some Baptists, some Pentecostals.

  • A Quaker or two has found a spiritual home in our midst, and

  • some of us were simply non-believers in any professed faith tradition.

And still – somehow – we have become a community centered around the God we all seek to know, the God we believe is slowly transforming this world, the God we believe invites us to engage in that world transformation.

You are welcome here!

Come and see…

Sacred Ground Race Dialogue Circles

Racial Reconciliation
Sacred Ground

Sacred Ground is dialogue series on race, grounded in faith. Small groups are invited to walk through chapters of America’s history of race, racism, and whiteness while weaving in threads of family story, economic class, and political and regional identity. The 10-part series is built around a powerful online curriculum of documentary films and readings that focus on Indigenous, Black, Latino, and Asian/Pacific American histories as they intersect with European American histories.

Sacred Ground is a resource coming out of Becoming Beloved Community, The Episcopal Church’s long-term commitment to racial healing, reconciliation, and justice in our personal lives, our ministries, and our society. This series is especially designed to help white people talk with other white people, while being open to all racial/ethnic groups. Participants are invited to peel away the layers that have contributed to the challenges and divides of the present day – all while grounded in our call to faith, hope and love.
