Our Mission

Taking to heart the words of Christ and sharing God's love with our neighbors.

Our Roots

Beginning in the living rooms of a few devout and earnest families in early 1865, our congregation has maintained for over 150 years the spirit and warm friendliness which was so much a part of those beginnings. Consecrated in 1884, All Saints' beautiful architecture is in the Anglican style of the English countryside. We worship according to the Book of Common Prayer, 1979 edition. Being Episcopalians, we are also members of the wider Anglican communion which now numbers approximately eighty million members world-wide. Locally we are members of the Diocese of New Jersey with our cathedral located in Trenton.

Samaritan House Transitional Shelter

Shelter and Housing

Samaritan House Lakewood, located on the property of All Saints Episcopal Church in the heart of Lakewood, will offer transitional housing and comprehensive support, for 8 homeless individuals. HOUSE the homeless; not a shelter for someone to crash for the night, but short-term transitional housing – a sober-living environment. EMPOWER the homeless; counsel, provide resources, referrals, advocacy, food and targeted financial assistance to the homeless who are working to overcome a current life crisis. We have a success rate that is close to 70%; compared to the state average of 35% for this type of facility. A person may help us providing support for the continual education to the residents of the house.

Food Pantry

Food Pantries

All Saints' Food Pantry was started in 2009. It was a small operation with only a few "customers". Now, in 2016, there are 7 regular volunteers plus 3 or 4 others that help set up & unpack donations.

We distribute fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, canned soups & canned vegetables, cereals, soups, detergents & personal items.

We are open each Tuesday from 10:00am to 12:00noon, where we serve between 75-100 people/families.

This community service is funded by donations from our parishioners as well as from outside sources. We particularly thank God for placing the need to give in the hearts of those anonymous donors. Anyone wishing to contribute may call All Saints Church, Tuesday-Friday, 10:30am-1:00pm at 732-367-0933, via email at or make checks payable to All Sainys Community Center - Food Pantry.
