Our Mission

Taking to heart the words of Christ and sharing God's love with our neighbors.

Our Roots

Beginning in the living rooms of a few devout and earnest families in early 1865, our congregation has maintained for over 150 years the spirit and warm friendliness which was so much a part of those beginnings. Consecrated in 1884, All Saints' beautiful architecture is in the Anglican style of the English countryside. We worship according to the Book of Common Prayer, 1979 edition. Being Episcopalians, we are also members of the wider Anglican communion which now numbers approximately eighty million members world-wide. Locally we are members of the Diocese of New Jersey with our cathedral located in Trenton.

Ministries

Samaritan House Transitional Shelter

Shelter and Housing

Samaritan House Lakewood, located on the property of All Saints Episcopal Church in the heart of Lakewood, will offer transitional housing and comprehensive support, for 8 homeless individuals. HOUSE the homeless; not a shelter for someone to crash for the night, but short-term transitional housing – a sober-living environment. EMPOWER the homeless; counsel, provide resources, referrals, advocacy, food and targeted financial assistance to the homeless who are working to overcome a current life crisis. We have a success rate that is close to 70%; compared to the state average of 35% for this type of facility. A person may help us providing support for the continual education to the residents of the house.

Thrift Shop

Economic Development

Our Thrift Shop is located in the Montgomery House, right next to our parking lot. This facility was originally the rectory of the clergy of All Saints.

We open:

Tuesdays - 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

Thursdays - 10:00 am to 1:00pm

 Saturdays - 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

All Saints' Thrift Shop offers low cost clothing, accessories, shoes for all ages; toys and books and videos; and household items and small appliances. Though our space is small, our offerings are big! The Thrift Shop is staffed by dedicated and loving volunteers who truly welcome shoppers from all walks of life. You are welcome to join our volunteers.
