St. John is an historic parish located in downtown York PA. The parish established in 1755 has been a key center for ministry in the city since its founding. We serve abroad crosssection of the population across a wide geographical area.

Currently the parish provides affordable housing in three properties located next door to the church campus.

In cooperation with SpiriTrust Lutheran we provide on referral basis food, assistance with housing, utilities, transportation.

The Literacy Council and LIU provide GED and English as a Second Language classes on our campus.

We host two 12 step programs on a weekly basis

We host a court ordered program for families of addicts

We provide an Easter Dinner for First Responders who are working on Easter, those who are homeless, in shelters or alone an need a place to celebrate this feast day.

We provide financial support for a number of community agencies.
