Good Shepherd & St. John's Church

Share a story

The Church of the Good Shepherd and St. John the Evangelist is a small but growing parish with a big heart. Our church was established in 1871, and our congregation includes families who have worshipped here for generations.  But unusually for a small country church, our congregation includes a very diverse group of people who have come to the Milford area from the New York/Philadelphia metropolitan area.  Many parishioners have joined us from other churches or faiths because we welcome everyone. Therefore, we have an active, intelligent, socially conscious congregation.

Our charming neo-gothic church was built in 1914 from local river cobblestones after the original church burned. Our beautiful stained glass windows include many salvaged from the first Good Shepherd building.

Please visit us and see for yourself all that we have to offer.
