Partnership to Assist Puerto Ricans in Central Florida post Hurricane Maria

Place

After the terrible Hurricane Season of 2017 many Puerto Ricans evacuated to Central Florida to access basic services. Iglesia Episcopal Jesus de Nazaret created an abuelitas program to support families in job searches, housing relocation assistance, medical and pastoral needs, as well as, acculturation services. The project started working with 250 out of the 400 families in FEMA provided housing and helped families transition to more permanent options.
