We appear to be a typical upstate NY parish, modest in size by both building and congregation size.

Living out the gospel through caring for our neighbors.

Place

Appearance does not tell the whole story. Modest is a good adjective for building and congregation size, but metaphorically St. James Episcopal Church , Pulaski NY is a lion/lioness in a gerbil's body. We are a parish of "the perpetually poor"  which blossoms from worship and mission work, because LOVE always wins.

The congregation is mission driven, especially through our feeding programs, inclusive of free Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Although Covid 19 has mandated a change in how we serve it; each year, 300 holiday dinners are given away, which now is take out only. If you live in close environs to the church and can not come to pick it up, we will even solve that problem for you. Thankgiving day, dinners are handed out for a 2 hour period and Christmas Eve the afternoon prior to worship is engaged in this work. Each congregational participant contributes to the work effort.

Raising funds during the summer and fall, and with some assistance of donations, our desire to show God's love throughout our world out weighs any obstacle that would impede  these dinners.
