Holy Week 2026

Place

Maundy Thursday* - We gather for a pot luck supper at 5:00 pm in the parish hall, and move into the solemn time of the Triduum (Three Days) with worship at 6:30 pm. We gather with Christians around the world to remember Christ’s last meal with his disciples, and his commandment that we live out the promise embodied in that meal.

Good Friday* - We gather at noon in our worship space with our ecumenical siblings in Christ and with the disciples at the foot of the cross, we pray for the whole world in the ancient bidding prayer, as Christ’s death offers life to all. We gather in solemn devotion, but always with the promise that the tree around which we assemble is indeed a tree of life. We depart silently, and we anticipate the culmination of the Three Days in the Easter Vigil.

Holy Saturday - We gather in front of the church around a new fire for the Great Vigil of Easter at 6:30 pm. The Easter Vigil is a special night. A moment for some of the greatest stories of our faith heritage unfurled in one setting. In hearing these stories, we connect with the heart of our own faith story and celebrate the first Eucharist of Easter.

Resurrection of Our Lord - We gather Easter Day to celebrate how Christ’s resurrection truly brings life to everyone. We sing hymns of praise, gather around sacred words, and proclaim God’s faithfulness, power, and love in the Holy Eucharist. We offer three worship opportunities this year:

  • 6:00 am Sunrise Service at Albee Beach with our siblings from First Congregational Church UCC Wolfeboro (mud location at Mast Landing).
  • 8:00 & 10:00* am Festive Eucharist with music and choir at both services in person, live stream at 10:00 am.

*Worship will be live streamed and available for later viewing at:
