2025 Becoming Beloved Community Grant Recipient - Growing Common Ground Farm

Growing Common Ground Farm, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church Lebanon, Indiana (15,000)  

This project seeks to expand an existing youth program focused on addressing food insecurity, cultivating leadership across diverse backgrounds, and promoting cross-cultural understanding through sustainable agriculture. Growing Common Ground is a partnership between St. Peter’s Lebanon and Mother Love’s Garden, an Indianapolis-based Black independent urban garden. The grant will fund rural youth to visit urban grower areas and participate in rural-urban exchanges to build technical competencies and foster empathy and understanding. The aim is to bridge urban and rural perspectives and equip young people with the confidence to lead within their own communities and beyond.
