Saint Gregory of Nyssa

Share a story

At the heart of St. Gregory’s is a simple yet profound mission: to invite people to see the divine image in all of humanity, to follow where Jesus leads, and to grow as God’s cherished friends.

This is a place where…

  • Your unique perspective matters.
  • We’re engaged in an ongoing conversation, with one another, scripture, the world and the Divine.
  • Our leaders are faithful companions on the journey, walking alongside us.
  • We draw inspiration from Saint Gregory of Nyssa, a 4th-century humanist, universalist, and mystic.
  • We live into the Episcopal church values of equality, justice and shared worship.
  • Beauty, creativity, friendships, questions, and mystery are valued here.

Our patron, Gregory of Nyssa, wrote that our highest calling is to enter into deep friendship with the divine. It is this conviction that animates our community as we seek to honor ancient Christian practices in ways that feel immediate and accessible in the 21st century. We invite you to join us on this sacred journey. This conviction

At the Early Service, we embrace an intergenerational way of sharing and experiencing the Bible together. We’ve named it Living Stories. Drawing inspiration from both the Montessori method and the Godly Play tradition, this interactive format turns our sermon and scripture reading into a lively intergenerational dialogue. If you and your family want to embrace a fuller, more connected spiritual journey together, we hope you’ll come check out Living Stories.

The Late Service is a vibrant, colorful service with a shared sermon, Gospel procession, chanted Eucharistic prayer, dancing, and lots of congregational singing supported by our choir. Volunteer opportunities

One time opportunities
Ongoing commitment opportunities

At St. Gregory's, we like to say we make church together. This means that there are many ways to volunteer your time, talent, and treasure for the sake of God's Mission in the world. The best way to find out more is to come join us for worship, and to talk to members during coffee hour about how you'd like to get involved.
