Christ Church, Boonville is the oldest Episcopal Church in The Diocese of West Missouri and the second oldest in the State. The church was founded by Bishop Jackson Kemper, Missionary Bishop of Missouri, in 1835; and its building was consecrated by Bishop Cicero Hawks, first Bishop of Missouri, in 1846. Christ Church offers traditional worship according to the Book of Common Prayer.

Christ Church currently uses Rite II from the 1979 Book of Common Prayer in our worshiop. We use Rite I from the Book of Common Prayer during the Lenten season.
