Hope-in-the-Desert Episcopal Church

Share a story

Worship services at Hope in the Desert Episcopal Church are an informal blending of traditional and contemporary style that remain true to Anglican tradition. It was founded out of the charismatic and evangelical streams of Anglicanism in 1999, and we consecrated our new church facility in 2009. Our motto is "Love, Hope, and Healing".

Ministries

THE ROCK AT NOONDAY

Meal Programs

Hope has committed to have at least 10 volunteers to serve lunch at The Rock at Noonday once a month.  We also donate funds to help defray the cost of food.

STOREHOUSE

Donation Coordination/Distribution

We are the "Peanut Butter Church" for the Storehouse.  Hope collects peanut butter and funds that are donated monthly to the Storehouse.

CHRISTMAS OUTREACH

Donation Coordination/Distribution

Every year we select a ministry to support for our Christmas outreach.  This past year we collected toys, wrapping paper and funds to support the Make Merry Project which benefited APS Title I Homeless McKinney-Vento Program.  Make Merry was able to provide Christmas gifts, books and stocking stuffers to over 300 families and 1,500 children last year.

LIVING WATERS INTERNATIONAL

Faith Formation

The Woman's Monthly Fellowship and Bible Study supports through donations to the Living Waters International.  The organization exists to demonstrate the love of God by helping communities acquire desperately needed clean water, and to experience "living waters" - the gospel of Jesus Christ which alone satisfies the deepest thirst.
