St. Thomas Episcopal Church

In our historic and sacred sanctuary, we worship "in the beauty of holiness" (Ps. 96:9). We also worship in the "holiness of beauty," if you will: we find God wherever we find beauty. Beauty is abundant in this church: hearts are lifted to God, lives are dedicated to service, souls are engaged in creative pursuits, voices are singing in praise and thanksgiving – we are a joyful community!

When you come to St. Thomas, you will not be told what to believe, what to think, or what to do. Instead, you will be invited into a sacred relationship with God and with God's people. You will be invited to pray, to sing, and to serve. Your intelligence will be respected, your questions will be encouraged, and your faith - if you let it - will be deepened. No matter where your journey has taken you or where you are going, you are welcome here.

We strive to worship God in joyful fellowship with respect and reverence, with our hearts open to the Holy Spirit, and mindful of the presence of God. We seek to serve God by serving others in the parish and the wider community. One of our special loves is our children. They are the future of each family, the future of our world, and the future – and present! - of our church. They are always welcome. Our nursery is provided for the benefit of the parents, not to keep the church quiet. The Psalms say to make a joyful noise unto the Lord.   We are glad to hear our children when they do just that!
