Share a story

Church of the Epiphany is a mission church located on Rt. 173 between Grove City and Slippery Rock.  Although it serves many communities, it primarily serves the Borough of Grove City, population 8,000.  Epiphany is served by Priest-in Charge: Rev. Patricia Lavery.  Epiphany is the "home" chuch of our bishop, Sean Rowe, and Rev. Nicholas Evancho (St. Martins-in-the-Field, Grand Island NY) both of whom attended when they were students at Grove City College.

Sunday morning worship is usually a service of Holy Eucharist.  Fifth Sundays are Morning Prayer.

GROVE CITY COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY

Food Pantries

The food pantry is not housed at Epiphany, but the members of the church regard the local food pantry as one of its primary ministries.  The Grove City Community Food Pantry serves the Grove City Area School District.  Currently, the pantry has more than 2,000 clients.  Three congregants sit on the board of directors.  Rev. Geoffrey Wild visits the pantry every week to offer spiritual as well as practical advice to the pantry's clients and volunteers.  Epiphany is also deeply committed to the pantry's annual, holiday food drive.  In 2015, Epiphany collected and donated over 2,000 items to this food drive.

FAITH COMMUNITY NURSE

Aging, Health and Wellbeing

Rogene Paganelli is our parish nurse.  Her ministry is a "unique, specialized practice of professional nursing which focuses on the promotion of health within the context of the values, beliefs, and practices of a faith community.  Health is viewed as not only the absence of disease, but also as harmony with self, others, and the environment with God."  The parish nurse strives to heal, not cure.
