Trinity Episcopal Church

Share a story

Trinity is a historic parish, founded ca. 1874. The current church building was built in 1902 and completely rennovated in 2014, making the entire facilities handicap accessible. . Worship takes place primarily on Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. Trinity shares its rector with neighboring St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Virginia City. Sundays at 9 a.m.. The two restrooms are spacious and non-gender-specific; one includes a changing table for infants.

The church also hosts a Community Garden surrounded with a fence (protection against deer) and available to anyone needing garden space (at no cost). Much of what is grown in the garden is given to the local food bank and/or sold at the Farm-to-Fork Farmers' Market in the summertime.

The church also has an active outreach of providing knitted prayer shawls (sent around the US) for people that are going through a challenging time or medical issue.   It's a way of letting people feel the warmth of the shawl and know they are cared for and prayed for.
