Founded in 1862 as The Episcopal Church in the County Seat of Sumter County. Longtime rector, the Rev. Jimmy Lawrence was named by Bishop Louttit as on the the Saints of Georgia in 1999 for his work in founding churches on the western side of the Diocese.
The Men's BBQ is held every June with the men of the parish raising a significant amount of money for outreach by hosting a BBQ on the church property that is open to the whole community. The Boar's Head Celebration is held each January with the church hosting a dinner for the Americus community.

Mustard Seed House
The church operates the Mustard Seed House, a resale shop for clothing and household goods which opened in June of 2011. This is in a house adjacent to the church.
