Grace Episcopal Church

Grace has an active healing ministry. A small group that meets on Sunday before church has devoted prayer and study to discerning this ministry. It includes lay persons and clergy. The Order of St. Luke's reading list has informed this group as well as considerable intention given to studying and practicing Contemplative Prayer. Healing prayers and anointing are offered following reception of Holy Communion every Sunday. 

Grace Church Prayer Chain is a group of people who have agreed to pray for people with prayer needs. An email is sent out to all our members concerning the addition or correction to our list of names. We get prayer requests for physical healing, emotional healing, peace and comfort, thanksgivings, safe delivery, RIP, protection of armed forces, our church, and other specific events and concerns.

New lists are sent out once we have several updates.  As members of the prayer chain, we believe that prayer changes things and that holding each other up in prayer brings us closer as a congregation. We also believe in the confidentiality of prayer requests and always try to honor this.

  To show our love and support for those in times of crisis or transition, Grace Church gathers together to fashion Comfort Covers - small quilts lovingly stitched in prayer. Each Cover is hand-tied and blessed in the name of those who need or have requested our prayers. These are then sent to those in need, along with the love, thoughts and blessings of the people of Grace Church.

 Tuesday's Table is a program started in 2004 by St Joeseph's Catholic Church to serve a meal to anyone who is in need. Grace Church began participating in 2005. The motto for this shared ministry is "Good Food, Good Company!"
  Each Tuesday a different organization sends members to the Church to prepare, serve and clean-up. We are on the schedule for the fourth Tuesday every other month. This is a very fulfilling ministry!  Our Youth are especially helpful and  they enjoy it as much as everyone else does!
  Grace has been collecting toiletries and packaging them to give away at the meals. In the Winter, we also donate hats, mittens, scarves, jackets and any other warm outer wear  we can. All have been well received. Our church donates $50.00 each month to maintain the program.  Also, there are various fundraisers through the year. The biggest, and the most fun, is the Wine Tasting.  It is in the Spring and always well attended!

The Grace Church Thrift Shop is now open with everything in the store priced at a Dollar or less!  You'll find clothing for men, women, teens and toddlers. Household items, toys and books are also for sale. 

Your patronage is not only financially smart for you and your family, it also helps the community. Grace Church shares proceeds from this venture with various non-profit groups in the area. The dress or suit that you buy from us could help to feed a hungry child or give shelter to a displaced family.
