Music at St. Alban's
Music at Saint Alban's is a community outreach program sponsored by historic Saint Alban's Episcopal Church which brings affordable, high-caliber performances of classical music by outstanding international young artists to Staten Island's South Shore community. The series is supported by generous donations from Saint Alban's parishioners, friends in the larger community, local businesses, community organizations, by tickets and season subscriptions, and by gracious in-kind contributions by the artists themselves.
The church's beautiful wooden Gothic Revival structure boasts an acoustic ideally suited to chamber music. The church is home to an 1895 Steinway baby grand piano and an 1883 Hook and Hastings tracker pipe organ. This is also a warm and intimate setting for vocal performance.
