St. Matthew's Episcopal Church

St Matthew's Episcopal Church actively supports several feeding ministries.  We contribute food and volunteers for a school backpack program at Moravia Central School.  This ministry sends bags of food home with school students who have been identified as food-insecure on the weekends.  St. Matthew's contributes food, regular monthly monetary contributions and volunteers for the Moravia Hope Pantry, food pantry that serves an average 80 families per month.  St Matthew's has been providing a big Sunday dinner once a month to our men's homeless shelter in Auburn for about 4 years, developing a lasting ministry and relationship with these men.  Different volunteers provide a part of the meal each month, sharing in the effort and the expense.
