St. Timothy's Episcopal Church

Share a story

Oh, how easy it is to get lost! With our cell phones and iPads, our 24-hour news cycles, there’s virtually nowhere to go for a moment of peace and quiet.

That’s where St. Timothy's Church comes in. We provide a holy place of respite in the tumult of life. So come, put aside the cares of the week and find yourself in the presence of God.

Who we are:

Many faces, one faith. We are a diverse group of believers –  united by our shared faith in a loving God.

Everyone Is Welcome

OUR MISSION IS HELPING PEOPLE FIND THEIR WAY BACK TO GOD

We’ve seen the transformation hundreds of times – people who came to us full of doubt and uncertainty become secure in the knowledge of their rightful place in God’s great kingdom. The change may start slowly – in a Bible Study class or choir participation, perhaps – but once it begins, it picks up speed. The good works, shared experiences, time spent in prayer – all bring us closer to our highest calling.

Take the first step toward personal renewal – join us for services this weekend!

About St. John Ministry of Care:

The St. John Ministry of Care is a food bank located in Laplace, LA. They also offer case management services.

St. Timothy's Community Garden

Creation Care/Community Gardens

The St. Timothy Community Garden is located adjacent to the church and school. There are eleven raised bed gardens for vegetables and flowers used by parish members, neighbors of the church, and students and families from the preschool. Gardeners pay a small yearly fee to participate, but this can be waived if there is financial need. The fee includes a raised box, soil, and water. Many of the neighbors who use the garden do so because they do not have the space in their own yards and have the desire to grow fresh vegetables.

This is the first and only community garden in LaPlace. The LSU extension center provided initial informational and planning assistance. Plans for the garden also include the planting of blueberry bushes, blackberry bushes and fruit trees, the building of more raised beds, and plowing garden rows for the planting of corn, grapes, and melons.
