Ministries

PRAYERS AND SQUARES

Donation Coordination/Distribution

A prayer ministry that combines the gifts of a hand tied quilt with the gift of prayer for someone in need.  Each knot tied into the quilt represents a specific prayer for the person who receives the quilt.  How does it work? Each member of the team has  role to play in the assembly process and when the quilt is completed, floss ties are placed in each square.  The quilt is completed when the congregation prays for the recipient and has tied each knot with a prayer said for that person’s special needs.  The quilts are a statement of our faith, a testimony to our strong belief in God and in the ultimate power of prayer.

MEAL MINISTRY

Meal Programs

St. James Meal Ministry provides meals to families during or after an illness or hospitalization. These volunteers are in teams and serve on a rotational basis.
