Emmanuel Church

Share a story

Our church was built in 1842; although Episcopalians had been worshipping in Middleburg for many years prior to that. Our parishioners come from many different backgrounds, nationalities, and careers. We share a longing to see and hear God in the world and Christ in all people. We are inquisitive, active in the community, friendly, nurturing, and joyful. Whether your visit is for a weekend or you are coming to live in Middleburg we want you to join us for worship and fellowship. Wherever you may be on your spiritual journey we think that you will find nourishment and companionship in this community.

During the COVID-19 pandemic many of our regular ministries and meetings have been put on hold. This includes our worship schedule. We are now offering an in-person outdoor service on Sunday at
9 a.m. in the area behind the Parish House (104 E. Federal Street). We also offer an online worship service at 10:30 on Sunday via our YouTube channel. Similarly, we offer Evening Prayer on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. via YouTube. Once the YouTube services are posted they remain available.

You do not have to be a member or an Episcopalian to take part in anything at Emmanuel. Everything at Emmanuel Church is open to everyone. If you are interested in any of them give us a call to find out if it is meeting during this time 540-687-6297.
