St. John's Episcopal Church

Share a story

Our St. John's community in the Episcopal tradition has been a spiritual home to God’s people since 1855, when the first worship service was held in Rockville. Since then, we have grown; many parishioners currently live in Coventry, East Hartford, Ellington, Manchester, South Windsor, Tolland, and Vernon with fewer members from towns even further away.

On November 18th, 2017, St. John’s, East Hartford was officially merged with St. John’s, Vernon.  On October 28th, 2023, St. Mary's Manchester was officially merged with St, John's, Vernon

Our ministries of outreach, education, evangelism and pastoral care are deeply important to us. We invite you to explore our life in Christ through our website, and to join us for Holy Communion on Sundays at 8:00 or 10:00 a.m. Gluten free wafers are available, just tell the priest when you receive.

May God’s peace be always with you, and again WELCOME!
