Volunteer opportunities
We send small groups of children with chaperones to the Dominican Republic every summer. Carrying suitcases full of arts supplies, crafts, jump ropes, drawing paper, soccer balls and more, students head to Santo Domingo and lead a Vacation Bible School.
Ministries
Community Garden
Parishioners plant, water, weed and harvest a garden on a small plot in Madison. The town of Madison maintains this community garden for the benefit of Madison residents. This past summer they grew tomatoes, squash, peppers, kale and carrots. All the produce was contributed to local food pantries and soup kitchens.
Saints on the Shoreline
Led by St. Andrew's, Saints on the Shoreline is a multi-church group that is working to host a refugee family.
Raise the Roof
Raise the Roof partners with and works within the umbrella of Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Haven to build or restore a home in New Haven. St. Andrew's helped launch this effort many years ago, and currently sends volunteers into New Haven to work on a "build" every year.
