St. Paul’s Church is an Episcopal parish in Fairfield, Connecticut, founded in 1856. We share Christ’s love, rooted in sacred tradition, open-hearted, and engaged with a dynamic world.
We share Christ’s love: Love isn’t only a feeling. Love is our ethic, compass, and daily practice. We gather in the name of Jesus, who healed, fed, forgave, welcomed, and lifted up the lowly. In Christ we see God, and at St. Paul’s, Christ’s love is shared in the Eucharist, in community, and in how we show up for one another and the world.
We find our roots in sacred tradition: We stand in the rich soil of ancient rhythms—scripture, sacraments, liturgy and music, and prayer—woven through centuries of faithful living and searching. Our Episcopal/Anglican heritage grounds us, giving us language for awe, space for doubt, and tools for transformation. These roots don’t hold us back—they help us grow.
We open our hearts to all: We strive to welcome every soul without exception. We’re open to questions, open to stories, open to change. Our community holds room for the joyful, the jaded, the recovering, the curious, the skeptical, and the seeking. We don’t all believe exactly the same things, but we believe in loving one another and journeying together.
We engage with a dynamic world: God didn’t stop speaking in the first century. We listen for God’s Spirit in the headlines, the arts, the protest, and at the kitchen table. Faith isn’t a retreat from the world—it’s a way of showing up in it with courage, creativity, and compassion.
We welcome you to journey with us.
