As we walk along our spiritual journey, we enjoy the companionship of those who walk with us: People from Minnesota, Ghana, Nigeria, Mexico, and Antigua. Young and old alike, we grow in faith together. At Christ Church, we value that diversity, and we value our fellow Christians who walk with us as we grow in faith. We strive to model the world we want to live in – a place that accepts everyone, regardless of race, gender, age, sexual orientation or income.
We have a long history in Minnesota, having been founded in 1850 in St. Paul. We moved to Woodbury in the 1970s, moving to a farm in a tiny suburb that has grown to 60,000 people in the past few decades.
Christ Church members come from Woodbury and many of the communities that surround us, like Cottage Grove and Inver Grove Heights. We support ministries that benefit the people close to us — like the food shelf across the street — and also ministries in the larger Twin Cities.
Would the pioneers who started our community be surprised at the inclusive, suburban congregation we've become? Probably! But it's a testimony to the work of the Holy Spirit in our midst and we're excited to imagine what God has in store for us a century from now.

Queen Obasi, originally from Nigeria, is a nurse in St. Paul, MN. Together with other St. Paul nurses and concerned friends, she has started this organization in hopes of providing quality health care to communities in Nigeria and Namibia that lack access to basic health services.
In Nigeria, health education and training has been the primary objective, including testing fasting glucose, blood pressure of elderly people and providing necessary de-worming treatment for children.
