St. Barnabas Episcopal Church is a congregation in the
Episcopal Diocese of New Hampshire.
Our worship is centered in Holy Communion -
a sharing of bread and wine - to which are all welcome.
At St. Barnabas, whoever you are and wherever you are on your journey back towards God, you are both invited and most welcome to join us. Our congregation is friendly and eager to welcome you!
All are truly welcome!
Worship times
Worship Service followed by coffee hour
In the Episcopal church, we worship on Sunday with a service of Holy Communion (also know as the Eucharist). Our service is lively, with a great deal of music. We listen to several scripture readings, and then the priest offers a sermon which explains more about the readings and connects them to our daily lives. We pray. And we share communion - bread and wine, the Body and Blood of Christ. In the Episcopal Church, all who share in worship with us are invited to share in communion.

Ministries
St. Barnabas Prison Chaplaincy
Volunteers and the Rector visit the New Hampshire Northern Correctional Facility twice a month to provide worship and spiritual support to men at the state prison in our town. In addition, we make an effort to attend special programs which the residents have produced, such as Christmas and Easter Cantatas and Ceremonies for Veterans Day and Memorial Day. This ministry has been ongoing for over 20 years, and is one of very few religious programs available.
A Place For Us
Open Wednesdays and Fridays 11am to 5pm, "A Place For Us" is a place for you.
Stop in for a few minutes or a few hours. We have a warm space in winter, and cool space in summer. Meals and snacks available for all visitors and volunteers. Find your place in a social group with informal crafting sessions and live music.
Little Free Library
Our 'little free library' is on main street, within sight of the Berlin Public Library. The library and books were funded through the NH Episcopal church with grant money. Title selection focuses on diversity, representation, and inclusion; most books are selected for children and teen age groups.
Come "check it out."
