The best description of St. Mark's is that we are a collection of individuals and families who come together on Sunday mornings to connect with Jesus Christ, embracing him at the center of our lives. We acknowledge that our relationship with God is one of profound grace-that His love for us is extravagant, reckless,and relentless. We aim to share this Gospel of grace with all people, to love ourselves and each other as Christ loves us, and to live out our ministries in the world in his name. The School   
St. Mark's Episcopal School opened its first kindergarten class in 1982, adding one grade per year in the following years. New buildings were built as needed until it reached its present size, which can serve a maximum of 195 students. Grounded on the Anglican principles of faith, tradition, and reason, St. Mark's Episcopal School provides a strong K-8 academic program for motivated and able students of diverse races, creeds, and economic backgrounds, utilizing innovative teaching resources. The Episcopal nature of the school has always been at its core. Daily chapel and weekly Eucharist were scheduled from the very beginning. The Preschool
St. Mark's Preschool was founded as the Upland Community Preschool shortly after St. Mark's moved to its current location on East 16th Street in Upland. From the beginning it has been regarded as an educational outreach to the community. The school building completed in 1985 provided four new classrooms, kitchen, office, and a walled-in play yard. Parent involvement and support over the years have led to many successful improvements to the preschool environment. Today the Preschool offers morning and afternoon sessions with a qualified and dedicated teaching staff.
