This is God’s table,
All are welcome,
All are needed.
Our presence, our stories, our true selves,
are welcome here.
We see each other with a grateful and open heart.
Together, we are the body of Christ.
Developed in 2018 at the vestry's annual retreat, this statement emerged out of a conversation about what defines us as a community of faith. It reflects our practice, our hopes, and our understanding that we are called, together, to be part of a body beyond ourselves in which all* are welcomed and valued for who they are as unique, varied, and beloved children of God.
So, whether you are new to the Episcopal Church, returning after a break, or have always been involved in the Episcopal Church, we welcome you to our community as we seek to know and love God through Jesus Christ, and strives to live out God's calling in our individual and communal lives in our parish and in the world. Through worship, fellowship, education and outreach, through prayer, music and action and in joy we seek to know God and to know ourselves as God's beloved creation.
We hope that you will explore the vibrant community within these historic walls, and join us as we grow in faith and love, and proclaim "by word and example, the Good News of God in Christ." (The Book of Common Prayer, page 305)
Wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome at St. Clement's!
*Please note that "All" means ALL--we are fully inclusive of LGBTQ people in all aspects of our ministry)

Sacred Ground Race Dialogue Circles
Sacred Ground is dialogue series on race, grounded in faith. Small groups are invited to walk through chapters of America’s history of race, racism, and whiteness while weaving in threads of family story, economic class, and political and regional identity. The 10-part series is built around a powerful online curriculum of documentary films and readings that focus on Indigenous, Black, Latino, and Asian/Pacific American histories as they intersect with European American histories.
Sacred Ground is a resource coming out of Becoming Beloved Community, The Episcopal Church’s long-term commitment to racial healing, reconciliation, and justice in our personal lives, our ministries, and our society. This series is especially designed to help white people talk with other white people, while being open to all racial/ethnic groups. Participants are invited to peel away the layers that have contributed to the challenges and divides of the present day – all while grounded in our call to faith, hope and love.
