Church of the Atonement

Share a story

The congregation was founded in 1980 as the southernmost Episcopal Church in Augusta. Atonement called the Rev. Kurt Miller as Vicar in 1998. He works part-time.

Church of the Atonement's ECW conducts fundraisers twice a year [Spring and Fall] to raise money for Christmas gifts to area children through the Food Pantry. The EYC of the church serves at the local Master's Table Soup Kitchen of the Golden Harvest Food Bank. The EYC also raises money for the local Ronald McDonald House.

The church is involved with and supports Kairos Prison Ministry, International.

The Food Pantry distributes food from the local Golden Harvest Food Bank. We also accept and distribute clothing to those in need.

In 2012 we will be conducting our second joint VBS with Iglesia Casa De Refugio. We have become a Veteran Friendly Congregation through Care For The Troops ministry. We have supported Kairos Prison Ministry since it started in Georgia in 1985.
