St. John's is also heavily involved in North Haven Opportunities for Affordable Housing (NHOAH) and welcomes volunteers to join us in this vital outreach to the community. So far, NHOAH has built one multi-unit housing project and is about to begin on another. We also partner with Columbus House in our efforts to house homeless persons during the colder months. We call this "Abraham's Tent," and we're always looking for volunteers to spend a night with our friends. Finally, St. John's has a vibrant food ministry. Our weekly suppers are well known and we also have a sandwich ministry called "Midnight Run" which gets food to people in need. Want to volunteer? We welcome any and all people and don't worry... we won't try to convert you!
