Grace and St. Stephen's Episcopal Church

Share a story

Grace and St. Stephen’s is an historic downtown church with a rich history and strong ties to the city of Colorado Springs. Since 1873, our parish has blended spiritual and intellectual, personal experiences and multiple generations, to create a community where all are welcome.

We celebrate our faith with rich liturgy and music grounded in the ancient Anglican tradition. We strive to grow closer to God and one another through vibrant enrichment, service and fellowship -- traveling this path together regardless of age, race, tradition or politics.

We invite you to learn more and share the journey toward a life in Christ.

Creation Care/Community Gardens

Committed to changing the dynamic of poor eating for those in need, we’re a faithful (and fearless) group of gardeners growing produce in a small -- and productive -- growing space here on campus and in our backyards. We occasionally offer GSA (Grace-supported agriculture) markets after services on Sundays, sharing produce for donation with funds going directly to supporting healthy choices for hungry neighbors and partnering with Freshfoodconnect.org to deliver excess produce to neighbors.

Jazz in the Garden

Arts & Culture

Great music, gorgeous gardens and a perfect place for families and friends to gather over picnics. The free concerts, began in 2010 as a way to extend the parish’s commitment to building community through music, are free to all.

Join us on selected Friday evenings at 7 pm in the garden at the corner of N. Tejon and Monument Sts.  Guests are invited to bring something to sit on, something to eat and friends!

Taylor Memorial Concerts

Arts & Culture

With Alice Bemis Taylor’s gift in 1928 of a magnificent pipe organ and endowment to provide concerts in memory of her husband, Frederick Morgan Taylor, a vast richness of musical opportunities became possible.

The Taylor Memorial Concert Series has presented many world-renowned organists, singers, chamber ensembles, and choirs in concerts and services to national and international acclaim. Many premieres of major choral works have taken place in Grace and St. Stephen’s beautiful space.
