The Church of the Transfiguration serves a diverse congregation made up of year round residents, part-time residents, and visitors to the area. In this holy place, we come together to nurture and support each other on our spiritual journeys. Together we find empowerment for our ministries. Won't you join us? Volunteer opportunities
Our firewood ministry works in conjunction with Hickory Nut Gorge Outreach to identify those in need of firewood to heat or for cooking. Our Bare Necessities ministry works with the Luke Commission making washable / reusable diapers and feminine hygiene kits currently being sent to Eswatini.
Caring Friends ministry cooks meals for members of the church community as well as for volunteer groups through our relationship with Bat Cave Disaster Relief. In 2025 we prepared over 2,000 meals for volunteers and residents impacted by Helene.
