Church of the Holy Cross

Share a story

The Church of the Holy Cross is a community of faith called by God through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, serving those in need, both near and far, and seeking to share God’s love through Eucharistic worship, prayer, and compassionate ministry.

Holy Cross is a Christ-centered, close-knit community of faith that offers an active, loving, and welcoming place of worship, ministry, and Christian fellowship. We are committed to a meaningful worship service and celebrating the love of Christ through the Holy Eucharist, hearing the Word, and embracing all who enter our doors. This parish is truly characterized by energy and a dedication to helping others through a variety of ministries, strong lay leadership and active participation of all. And we are a multifaceted family that treasures and enjoys each other and our connections to our surrounding communities.

First, and foremost, Holy Cross is a place of worship. We do not represent a large membership but we openly receive those from all walks of life. All are welcome to share the Holy Eucharist at our table. The liturgy, celebration of the Holy Eucharist, challenging sermons, inspiring sacred music, the beauty and history of this simple stone church all combine to offer an inspirational and compelling place to worship and draw closer to God.

Sacred Ground Race Dialogue Circles

Racial Reconciliation

Sacred Ground is dialogue series on race, grounded in faith. Small groups are invited to walk through chapters of America’s history of race, racism, and whiteness while weaving in threads of family story, economic class, and political and regional identity. The 10-part series is built around a powerful online curriculum of documentary films and readings that focus on Indigenous, Black, Latino, and Asian/Pacific American histories as they intersect with European American histories.

Sacred Ground is a resource coming out of Becoming Beloved Community, The Episcopal Church’s long-term commitment to racial healing, reconciliation, and justice in our personal lives, our ministries, and our society. This series is especially designed to help white people talk with other white people, while being open to all racial/ethnic groups. Participants are invited to peel away the layers that have contributed to the challenges and divides of the present day – all while grounded in our call to faith, hope and love.
